IDJ 4 – Book Cover

Print

For this task, I have used my superhero design as the front page of the file. I decided to go with black and red since it is the main theme for my character. Also I gave it the title “Reflex” as it is my character’s name.

Project 2 – Create a Board Game (Part B – Group)

logo

For Part B of this assignment, I teamed with Egbert, Bryan, Crysmond and John. We decided to go with John’s board game which was the Truth or Dare.

The idea of the board game is to have a board with tiles where there are cards underneath that can be drawn when you land on the tile. The card has a truth and a dare. You have to pick either one or pass the round. Doing a truth or dare gives you points and passing gives you none. To win the game, one must get 20 points.

John was the leader and we divided the tasks among ourselves.

Our tasks are:

  • Egbert – Board game manual
  • Bryan – Exterior design of the box
  • Crysmond & John – Interior design of the box
  • Me – Card design

Project 2 – Create a Board Game (Part A – Individual)

This project involves two parts which are the individual and group tasks.

Part A is an individual component. Students are required to investigate and understand what a game board is and how to make a good game board. Through creative process, experimentation, investigation and exploration each student will have to propose an appropriate game board according to the chosen category.

Once presented, the best proposal in the group (of 5 students) will be brought forward to Part B.

To start, I first researched what makes a game board, the important features of a game board and how do I make it.

IDJ 3 – Your Object as a Superhero

The same with the previous journals, this is also based on the same object which is the one I have chosen; a telescope. This task was fun as I had to think of many ideas for the storyline, powers, weakness and costume.

IDJ 2 – Imagine Your Object in the Future

This task relates to the previous journal because we have to imagine the future of the object we have chosen before in IDJ 1.

IDJ 1 – Imagine Yourself as an Object

For our first journal, we have been given the task to imagine ourselves as an object. I chose a telescope as it relates to me pretty well. As usual before starting sketching the journal, I searched for information on telescopes on the Internet first. And I must say, I learned quite a lot on telescopes from this task. 🙂

Project 1 – Daily Objects as Instruments

The first task of CTS is the creation of instruments using daily objects. We will have to create an instrument then use it to perform a few songs. Daily objects have to be used creatively to produce sounds that can be used in a song.

If I have learned anything from this assignment it would be teamwork. This assignment also gave me opportunities to indulge myself in thinking creatively to solve problems as they come. It was a fun experience overall.
